“Rest is the conversation between what we love to do and how we love to be.”
David Whyte
Naps are a holy place, a spiritual practice and a form of resistance.
Chapel of Naps is a participatory community happening, making its debut right here at Splore. Are you tired of the grind culture? Ready to resist the colonial white supremacist cis hetero patriarchal exploitative late-capitalist system? Reclaim your pleasure activism, restore your sense of belonging. Pause for a moment amidst the party. Lay yo' self down on the ground and rest together, yielding into the ultimate sovereignty: your private gateway to freedom is through the space you inhabit when you sleep and dream.
Kat Grace, Nap Minister, curates a sacred space where the liberatory, restorative and disruptive power of rest can take hold. Catch some zzzz's, disco nap, dreamtime, indulge in a witch kip. Put down all your doing and daring. Gather together to co-create a potent space of rest at the fest. Doze between the dance floor and the dream realm. Digest all the feasting, recharge your imaginal cells in the collective field of the unconscious.
Rest is holy. You are divine. We are all connected. You are enough. Your body is a site of liberation. Rest.
Kat Grace has been daring, dreaming, and leaning into the Emptiness and the ineffable for a long while now. They have researched and rewilded through lived experience, a cornucopia of modalities and embodiment practices, to facilitate healing, belonging, and becoming one's whole self. Trauma sensitive safer spaces are cultivated; invitational and consensual practices are offered.
