Michael Hodgson, a pioneer in Aotearoa's electronica scene, began his journey with Tinnitus in 1985, expanding into live AV performance and sound design in the 90s with the Projector Mix and then onto Pitch Black
Rooted in a musical family from Nelson, Hodgson's passion for experimental sound and visual communication drove his unconventional path, curating multidisciplinary events showcasing his music and video art across various spaces and genres.
His unique sound, influenced by dub and field recordings, evolved into Misled Convoy which emerged as an avenue for his avant-garde exploration,
For Splore 2024 he is playing a quadraphonic show as part of the After Dark program in Wendy’s Wellness Tent at 12am on Saturday/Sunday morning
