The Harmonic Resonators
This quintessential-kiwi, family band, came together with a passion for country music, and have stayed together through sharing a new love of waiata Māori with people and communities at home and around the world.
Front man Jeremy Hantler contributes soaring yodels over a tapestry of lush harmonies and acoustic, country guitar feels from Mother, father, honorary Aunty and bro, and a 'whangai'd in cousin on the electric guitar.'
The Harmonic Resonators' play what you'd hear at a great after-party; waiata māori, classic covers, and some newly translated hits from their Album 'Rongo ki te Oro' thrown in the mix. They've performed everywhere from tiny wharekai to grand concert halls from Gore to Northland, and combine the polish of great Māori Concert bands with a relaxed and extremely approachable vibe. They have worked their way in the the hearts of New Zealanders through their RNZ Live and Matariki TV Performances, alongside a huge social media following, and are stoked to bring their warmth to SPLORE 2024.
